Program Cancelation Policies
Cancelations
Outdoor programs may be canceled for the following situations:
- Lighting
- Hazardous Air Quality
- Court/Field conditions
Program cancelations may be communicated via E-mail, Text, or LeagueApps message by the program commissioner.
Lighting
All program activity will be canceled or suspended for lightning. Cancelation or suspension depends on the expected timing of the storm. Program commissioners will communicate cancelation or suspension as necessary. We follow beach or field closures as decided by the Chicago Park District.
Air Quality
CMSA Board has created an Air Quality policy which aligns with Chicago Park District. If the AQI (Air Quality Index) is above 150, programs will be canceled. Decision will be made at least 1 hour prior to program start time. If you do not receive a message that games are canceled, they are are not canceled.
